The theatre and dance department hosted auditions for two plays, “She Kills Monsters” by Qui Nguyen and “The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity” by Charles Kristoffer on August 17 and 18 at the Fresno City College Theatre.

“She Kills Monsters” set in 1995, follows the life of Agnes whose family just died. She finds a fantasy role playing game her sister, Tilly, created before her death embedded in her diary.

The audition for “She Kills Monsters” required a one minute monologue from a comic book or some other type of fantasy media. The play will be showing October 5-6 and 11-13 at 7:30 p.m. and October 7, and 12-13 at 2 p.m.

“The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity” follows the life two wrestlers and their fight for social justice both in and out of the ring.

The audition for “The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity” required a one minute contemporary comedic monologue. The play will be showing November 2-3 and 8-10 at 7:30 p.m. and November 4, 9-10 at 2 p.m.
