Gaga Stars in a Not So Bad Romance
“A Star is Born” is a film of incredible talent, breathtaking performances, and passionate romance. Written and directed by Bradley Cooper “A Star is Born” stars pop star turned actress Lady Gaga as Ally, a small town singer hoping to make it big in show business, but struggling to find her big break. That is until she meets country singer Jackson Maine played by Cooper. As Ally’s star rises, Jackson’s begins to fade away, while alcoholism and relationship drama ensue.
This is a story we’ve seen before. As the third remake of the 1937 original film, previously remade in 1954 and also in 1976, this “Star” tops them all, breathing life back into a basic plot with twists, turns, and dynamic performances.
Gaga never disappoints with not only her breathtaking singing capabilities, but acting skills that no one knew she had. Gaga’s Ally is hard-edged, but emotional; passionate, but withdrawn. She plays the dimensions and contradictions of the character flawlessly.
With strong and emotional performances and a great love story, “A Star is Born” is the film that audiences will enjoy and love every moment of.
