Fresno City College students flocked to a book sale organized by the Southeast Travel Abroad Club. The sale was held in the main fountain area of FCC.
The money collected by the sale will be distributed among the students that are participating in the club’s study trip over the summer.
Chue Thue Moua, president of the club, said the club will visit Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia during the summer. The club’s trip will be focus on Southeast Asian countries.
The club is in its first semester so this was the first fundraising event organized by the club and Moua said he plans to organize another during the Asian American Festival at FCC.
The club acquired the books by donations from instructors and other people in the community.
“We sent a mass flyer to all of the instructors at Fresno City, so a lot of the books come from your instructors or past instructors,” said Moua.
