NAACP to hold informational meeting for Measure C

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is inviting students and faculty to an informational meeting on Measure C.

The NAACP Fresno Branch will host the event on April 21 starting at 6 p.m. at 1920 Mariposa Mall suite 310.

The chapter will present and discuss the $485 million bond measure. Campus representatives will present the impact the bond would have on each of their campuses.

Fresno City College will focus on classroom and labs for critical math and science, parking improvement, careers and technology center, and the improvement of student participation and classroom performance.

Reedley College will continue the discussion about expanding and modernize classrooms, agriculture facility, performing arts center and high education opportunities for local artist.

The other SCCCD campuses will also discuss their projected construction.

SCCCD Chancellor Paul Parnell and former Chancellor Bill Stewart will attend the event.

The NAACP encourages all students and faculty to attend.
