Ram Pantry Opens New Doors for the Fall Semester
Students using the Ram Pantry should know there is a different way to get there.
The Ram Pantry, which provides an assortment of food and supplies to needy students, opened for service on Aug. 20 with its entrance in the back patio, rather than through the main door of the Student Center building.
The pantry is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday, and serves all students who are currently enrolled in the college. Students with their students IDs can collect up to eight items of food daily.
“What we are really hoping for is for students to be more successful because we’re taking care of their food issues,” said Cindy Dunn, coordinator of the Ram Pantry.
The pantry works with the Community Food Bank and Fresno Metro Ministry and consistently receives food donations twice a week.
Supplies include everything from small snack items to bulk items that could be used to prepare full meals.
