Mike Bloomberg Announces Campaign Stops in California
Presidential candidate and former mayor of New York City Mike Bloomberg will be making an appearance at Fresno City College on Monday, Feb. 3, 2020.
His visit on Monday will also include stops in Sacramento and Compton.
Bloomberg, who announced his candidacy on Nov. 24, 2019, is employing an unusual strategy during his presidential campaign by opting to bypass Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina, all states with early primaries, in an attempt to win the vote in California, whose primary falls on March 3, 2020.
Bloomberg, who CNBC named the presidential candidate “most likely to beat Trump if nominated,” is currently polling at eight percent according to a national average of polls published by the New York Times. These polls put him behind Sen. Elizabeth Warren (14%) Sen. Bernie Sanders (24%) and former vice president and current polling leader Joe Biden (27%).
Bloomberg is currently scheduled to appear in Sacramento at Old Soul Co. at The Alley early Monday morning before traveling south to Fresno and eventually to Compton later in the afternoon.
