$250 Bookstore Vouchers Now Available Online

Fresno City College is offering $250 bookstore vouchers to vaccinated students until Sept. 24.

In an email to students, Fresno City College announced that $250 bookstore voucher funds are now available online.

Students will be able to spend their remaining funds on available products at the bookstore website and have the option to have their order shipped to them or they can pick it up on campus.

Paul Klays, bookstore manager, said FCC requested to make using vouchers online an option.

However, in order to make vouchers available online, Klays said there was a system setup that needed to be completed, which bookstore staff was not able to have ready on the first day of instruction when the vouchers were announced.

Due to the availability of vouchers online, Klays said there has been an increase in orders but it is hard to give an estimate because only some are from the vouchers while others are non-voucher orders.

In terms of supplies, Klays said the bookstore is still working on getting restocked but is in much better shape now and online orders allow products to be fulfilled at other locations.

For items like FCC Rams apparel, students are encouraged to make a trip to the store.

With the voucher program ending on Sept. 24, Klays said staff does not expect any issues with supplies or staffing to arise.

According to the Sept. 10 open forum, approximately 4,100 students received their vouchers.

Students are encouraged to set up their voucher account by taking their current Associated Student Body card and COVID-19 vaccination card showing at least one vaccine dose to the bookstore. This must be done in person.

Bookstore hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Using vouchers online:

When students are ready to pay for their items on the FCC bookstore web page, click on the checkout box.

When they get to the “payment option,” choose “bookstore account.”

They will be prompted to enter their student ID and PIN number 2021. Once students enter that information, they will be able to complete their purchase.

If students currently have a financial aid account online, such as the Extended Opportunity Program or scholarships, they will continue to use the last 4 digits of their social security number or birthdate as their PIN.

That will allow them to continue to use their prior set up funds and the vaccine voucher.
