Students can now Request Medical Exemptions for Vaccine Mandate
Students can now request a medical exemption from the State Center Community College District vaccination mandate.
In an email to students, the district said it is, “Committed to providing a safe and healthy learning and working environment for all students and employees by requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination as a condition to enter any indoor space on district property, effective October 15, 2021.”
The mandate itself also states that medical and religious exemptions will be honored.
Students with a serious health condition who are seeking medical exemption will need to complete a request form.
Religious exemption forms will be available within the next week.
Completed forms must be submitted no later than Oct. 11, 2021. The review process will take a minimum of 3-4 days, according to the district’s email.
Students will be notified of their approval status via their student email account.
