COVID-19 Testing on Campus Continues
Logistics Health Incorporated is holding a COVID-19 testing site at the cafeteria building in the staff dining room from Mondays through Thursday at 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Eligibility for testing is determined by how questions are answered during registration, found at lhi.care.
It is recommended that appointments are made before testing
The sites are being managed by OptumServe and the Fresno County Office of Public health.
Fresno City College website stated that it is not involved in the management or testing and is there to provide the location only.
According to Logistics Health Incorporated, a parent company to Optum, there are a limited number of appointments daily to a single testing site in accordance with staff and available space.
Logistics Health Incorporated has stated that they work with state health officials to maximize accessibility to COVID-19 related health services.
FCC student David Torres, who heard about the testing site through fliers commented on its convenience saying “it’s pretty nice for students who come here and it’s easier for them to get checked out being that we’re on campus now”
Generally, students like Michael Martinez find it convenient as well. “It feels good, especially since there’s a lot of people around”, he said.
