Spring break is upon us once more, and there are so many places to go. Depending on what you are interested in, you might want to visit one of these places.
If you are more of an outdoor type of person, you could go camping or to the lake. Some lakes are: Avocado Lake, Shaver Lake, Millerton Lake and Pine Flat Lake.
Some activities to do at the lakes are fishing, having a picnic, swimming, sports games, renting a boat and much more. Hiking is something to do as well.
There are a few national parks to visit too. Yosemite and Sequoia are two national parks that are closer to the Valley to visit. There are tours, snow activities and park events to participate in. Hotels or lodging are also available in the area.
Campgrounds like Yosemite Creek Campground is 10 dollars a night per campground with a maximum of six people.
If you want to stay in town for the break or save money, there is the mall and movies to go to. Sierra Vista, Fashion Fair and Manchester are malls around town to visit. Some movie theaters are: Edward’s Theater, Sierra Vista Cinema 16, Manchester Theater and UA Clovis Movies 8.
For people who like nice beach weather, there are a few beaches not too far from Fresno to go to. The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk includes a beach as well as rides and fun games for kids to do too. Tickets and discounts can be found on beachboardwalk.com.
Other beaches to visit are Avila Beach, Pismo Beach, and Monterey Beach. Monterey Beach also has the Monterey Bay Aquarium with many sea animals to see. Each beach has events, small shops and restaurants right next to the beach areas.
Six Flags, Disneyland, Universal Studios, California Adventure, Knott’s Berry Farm and Great America are some theme parks and amusement parks to go around California. Some of these parks feature Disney characters, movie and TV series studios, fun games and giant roller coasters.
Tickets for a day at Six Flags are about 40 dollars paid a day or two in advance online. A one-day park hopper ticket for Disneyland is 125 dollars and a regular ticket for Disneyland is 87 dollars.
Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas and San Diego are a few big cities to plan a Spring break trip to. Each city has its own featured events, exhibits and attractions such as: Hollywood, Pier 39, Alcatraz and Sea World.
The Mission Inn in San Francisco is about 64 dollars per night. The Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles is 39 dollars a night and is also walking distance from the Museum of Neon Art and the Los Angeles Central Public Library.
There are many malls around each city and different places to explore and walk to like Chinatown, the Golden Gate Bridge, casinos,beaches and much more.
