After a freshmen season in which she was named to the All Conference Team, Sophomore guard Tabitha Torres has once again sparked a strong performance for the Fresno City College women’s basketball team.
On Jan. 3 Torres hit six 3-pointers and scored 28 points as she led the Rams to a win against Feather River. With an average of 18.3 PPG, Torres leads the central valley in scoring. Her 34 point performance early in the season is also the most points scored by any player in the Central Valley this season. The 5-foot-9 guard out of Corcoran High had another one of her strong performances on Wednesday as she scored 24 points and led the Rams to a win against Taft.
As a senior in high school, Torres was nominated to the 2010 All-State girls basketball team.
