After an FCC time out in the first half, guard Sarina Sayama took an offensive foul on the defensive end of the floor, and scored a three pointer on the other end of the court. At half time the Rams led 53-38.
The second half of the game was as physical as the first half. FCC’s Nicole Chapple was once again impressive on the defensive and offensive end of the court. The 5-foot-9 guard even stole the ball and took it across court for a layup.
Sierra managed to stay tough and shrink the lead to eight but it was too late as the Rams took the victory and advanced to the NorCal Regional Championship in their quest for the State title. Next up for the Rams is a date with San Fransisco City College. “We are not ready for San Fransisco now, but we will be by Saturday,” said Coach Tessler.
