The Fresno City College Womens’ tennis season came to an end in the NorCal final with a 5-0 loss against Sierra.
Despite the loss, the Rams are proud of what they have done this season.
The Rams were tied with Reedley for the Central Valley Conference title. All season long, they relied on the strong bond they had created.
They went into every match expecting the best from their opponent, but at the same time focusing on their own game.
Even after having played so many matches the Rams managed to overcome fatigue and stay focused. Adding to the challenge was the fact that the Rams had to battle all season long with just six players.
“Everyone had to bring their best even if we were injured or sick. We couldn’t afford to forfeit,” said Maddie Loomis.
The sophomore was glad to have taken on the leadership position this season.
Loomis along with Kate Abston, Regina Leyba, and Allie O’Neill placed on the All-Big 8 South women’s tennis team. No other team in the league had that many players named to the All-Big 8 South women’s tennis team.
