The Fresno City College baseball team took on Porterville College at John Euless Ball Park across from the FCC campus on April 5. The Rams dominated the Pirates by 10-1 and are now 15-0 in the conference.
The stands began to fill up on a warm spring day with the crowd having energy and excitement. The teams were fired up ahead of the first pitch. The Rams started off strong and continued a strong defence against the Pirates throughout the game.
At the top of the first inning the Pirates were scoreless with three outs. The Rams scored at the bottom of the first inning with one run and three outs. It led the Pirates 1-0.
At the top of the second inning the Pirates tied the game with one run and three outs. The Rams scored in the bottom of the second with one run and only two outs. It led the Pirates 2-1.
At the top of the top of the third inning the Pirates struck out with three outs. The Rams scored at the bottom of the third with one run and only two outs. They led the Pirates 3-1.
At the top of the fourth inning the Pirates struck out with three outs. The Rams scored in the bottom of the fourth with two runs and only one out. They led the Pirates 5-1.
At the top of the fifth inning the Pirates were struggling to score with two outs.The Rams had a run in the bottom of the fifth inning with five runs and two outs. They led the Pirates 10-1.

At the top of the sixth inning the Pirates were unable to score with three outs. At the bottom of the sixth inning the Rams failed to score any runs. It led the Pirates 10-1.
As the seventh inning began the Pirates were unable to score and had three outs. The Rams were struggling to add to their lead at the bottom of the seventh inning.
At the top of the eighth inning the Pirates were unable to improve their score with three outs. The Rams were struggling to put the game away at the bottom of the eight inning. It led Porterville 10-1.
As the game came to a close in the ninth inning the Pirates didn’t score a run. The Rams are currently 24-6 in the season with their next home game against the College of the Sequoias on April 10 at 3 p.m. at the John Euless Ball Park.
