Israel Cardona Hernández is a 20-year-old Communication and Journalism major with a strong dedication to serving his community and bridging cultural gaps. Born in Santa Rosa, California, and raised in Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico, Israel is deeply connected to both his American and Mexican roots, which influences his work in media and community engagement.

Israel’s passion for service is evident in his work at NorthPointe Community Church, where he actively contributes to Spanish-language outreach programs. In addition to his involvement in church activities, he has gained valuable experience by translating sermons, making them accessible to Spanish-speaking congregants.

His commitment to helping others extends further as he also translated a book for the church, further showcasing his translation skills and dedication to enhancing the church’s outreach. Currently, Israel is gaining practical experience through his internship at Radio Bilingüe, where he hosts the program “Ritmos del Pueblo.” This platform allows him to blend his love for journalism with his desire to share stories and music from the community, highlighting the diverse experiences of his bilingual audience.

Outside of his academic and professional pursuits, Israel enjoys reading and working out at the gym. His love for reading helps him stay informed and sharp, while his gym workouts provide a balance to his busy schedule, contributing to his physical and mental well-being. With his passion for language, media, and community service, Israel is determined to make a lasting impact, using his skills to connect and serve diverse communities both locally and globally.
