Juan Muratalla, Reporter
Juan Muratalla is a 20-year-old small Mexican male who was raised in Fresno Califonia and Sanger California. He majored in Journalism and hopes to become a sports writer who covers football, his favorite sport. He is a big fan of the Baltimore Ravens and loves things like video games, YouTube, and cooking new food in his crockpot.
He lives with his younger brother in an apartment complex near Fresno State. He has been living on his own for 1 year. He is a part of the Foster Youth Community. Apart from covering sports, he is also interested in covering most news and information in general, especially information that displays stories from communities that are minority and do not have a consistent outlet to speak about issues they experience. Specifically with the Foster Youth Community, he wants to promote the fact that Foster Youth are entitled to certain benefits and opportunities that can help them with money, housing, food, and attending college.
He thinks that college is a great gateway to receiving these benefits, and Fresno City College, despite issues, can greatly benefit his community of Former or current Foster children. He also wants to highlight that Fresno City can also help other minority communities with specific issues that impact their community. Juan still has a lot of growing to do as an individual, but loves writing and talking to others, even if he is a little all over the place with doing both of those things. He wants to share writing and reading with others because he believes that both of those things can have an immense impact on the individual and collective.
