Kaia James

Kaia James, News Editor

Kaia James (pronounced Ki-yuh) returns to the Rampage this semester as the news editor, bringing with her a keen focus on culture, student experiences, and the challenges students face while pursuing higher education. Last semester, her reporting highlighted these stories, helping to amplify the voices of her peers.

James previously served as editor-in-chief at her high school newspaper in Fresno, but she describes her time at the Rampage as her first true exposure to higher level journalism.

At just 23, James looks forward to her plans to complete her degree at Fresno State. While she’s passionate about her newsroom work, she describes herself as a homebody at heart. She enjoys spending quality time with her siblings, trying new foods, and enjoying whatever the day brings her! Her goal this year is to travel more after school wraps up!
