Matthew Armaan Karim was born and raised in Fresno, California. He is 20 years old but is 3 months away from being 21 on April 15th. His favorite movies are Wall-E, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Star Wars, Avengers: Infinity War, Deadpool & Wolverine, Back to the Future, Guardians of the Galaxy and Stepbrothers. His favorite TV shows are Star Wars: The Clone Wars, SpongeBob SquarePants, Codename: Kids Next Door, Amazon’s The Boys, Marvel’s Loki, The Amazing World of Gumball and BoJack Horseman. His favorite anime is Dragon Ball, Naruto, One Piece, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Jujutsu Kaisen, and My Hero Academia. His favorite videogames are Yakuza Like a Dragon, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Grand Theft Auto 5, Splatoon 3, Fallout 4, and Team Fortress 2. His major is journalism and film. He hopes to become a movie director and comic book creator. He has a strong passion for fantasy storytelling and filmmaking. He wishes to show his stories on the big screen or in comic books worldwide someday in the future. Ever since he was little, he grew up with superheroes such as Batman from DC comics and Spider-Man from Marvel. He was inspired by both heroes and both comic book companies to create comic stories and characters. Matthew Karim has been part of the Fresno City College’s Rampage program since Spring 2023. So, he gained 2 years of experience as a reporter in the Rampage. This semester will be his final time taking the Journalism course and the program before he completes the Spring 2025 semester and officially moves to Fresno State University. However, this will help him achieve greater height from the help of his colleagues and his improved skills from the program.
