The Fresno City College women’s basketball team defeated Solano College in front of a packed house tonight to advance to the semi-final of the CCCAA state playoffs.
FCC opened up the game going shot for shot with Solano. There they knew they were in a battle with Solano.
FCC took the lead for good with a dominant second half by Breona Minor, who scored 13 of her 18 points in the half.
Keyora Wharry had herself a night scoring 25 points, becoming FCC’s all-time leading scorer.
“We had a huge second half from Minor, she had the hot hand tonight,” said head coach Brian Tessler.
In their first game of the semi-finals, they will play either Santa Rosa or Diablo Valley.
