The SCCCD police arrested a student and another individual on campus near the fountains at Fresno City College early Friday afternoon.
According to eye-witnesses, an altercation between police and a young man with a skateboard resulted in two arrests.
The man with the skateboard was allegedly approached by police regarding a violation of FCC’s skateboarding policy. The situation escalated, during which another man tried to intervene on behalf of the first.
Police arrested the man with the skateboard near the fountain and later arrested the second individual near the intersection of McKinley and Van Ness.
Neither the SCCCD police nor any campus official was available for comments. Details are forthcoming pending further investigation.
