Vick Vang, a Fresno City College student majoring in kinesiology, said, “Yeah, I feel like it’s a better place to start college because for me, it was better because I am kind of decided on what I wanted to do. So coming to Fresno City College, talking to counselors and professors kind of made it easier to find out what I really wanted to do and find my major. So I feel like it was easier than just going straight to a university and then struggling to find a major.”

Louis, a Fresno City College student majoring in alcohol & drug counseling, said, “Yes, I’m proud to be at Fresno City College because I feel like it helps uplift my spirits and test my capability in the community and my surroundings.”

Meza, a Fresno City College student majoring automotive technology, said, “Yeah, I’m proud to be here. I feel like it’s a good college. Like it’s a good community college for people who like, just sign up for a class that they want to take. And it’s spacious, it has good classes, and good teachers. It has good resources as well.”

Hackett, a Fresno City College student majoring in liberal arts, said, “I would say I am really proud to be at Fresno City. Really this was my only option, just financially. But when I was thinking about college, I really didn’t think that I would be able to go, that I wouldn’t be able to succeed. But Fresno City College has taught me that I’m smarter and I can do more than I thought that I could before. And being able to just get involved with the campus itself, like really just sitting here, you came up to me, and becoming involved in the campus isn’t as hard as you would think it is. And I guess I’m proud of myself a lot to be here cause it showed me, like I said, that I am actually smart and that I can succeed. I guess that’s my big sticking point of why I’m proud to be here, that it’s just instilled a whole bunch of confidence in me that I could do more than I thought I could before.”
