Cinco de Mayo comes to FCC
Cinco de Mayo (May 5) at Fresno City College gathered dozens in the free speech area for food, fun and music Tuesday afternoon.
A live mariachi group played for several hours and allowed for students to take part in the fun and sing a few songs.
Valeria Gonzalez, a student at FCC, sang a song by the late Jenny Rivera and says she had no idea she would be singing at the event.
“My friends kept on insisting,” Gonzalez said.
A college club rush also took place during the May 5 celebrations. Student clubs offered food, drinks and information.
